Weekly Lunch Meeting - Lunch Buffet to open 11:45am with the first bell at 12:15pm.
Program will be provided by Scott Michael Moore "The World's Water Crisis: Causes, Cures and Consequences"
Scott Moore, a political scientist at the University of Pennsylvania who focuses on water politics and policy, will help untangle the world’s water crisis. Though in combination they do constitute a crisis, in fact the world faces several distinct challenges related to water quality, availability, and management, with causes ranging from economic growth and development, institutional failure, and climate change. Scott will draw on his experience as an academic researcher, a Water Resources Management Specialist at the World Bank, where he worked on water sector projects in China and India, and as a policymaker at the U.S. Department of State. He’ll also address the role of the private sector in tackling the world’s water management challenges. Scott holds a doctorate in Politics and a master’s degree in Environmental Change and Management from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar, and a bachelor’s degree from Princeton.
