The Rotary Club of York is partnering with the City of York this year to complete the Kiwanis Lake Clean Water Project 2020. Kiwanis Lake is one of the most noteworthy and beautiful water features within York City. Many local citizens have fond childhood memories of the lake – picnicking, fishing and pleasant summer strolls. However, the lake has become compromised over the years as water regulation equipment has broken down and the environments around the lake have changed. Kiwanis Lake, which should be the beacon of York City’s clean water, no longer boasts the health and aesthetic value that it once did.
This year, the Rotary Club will help to repair and restore Kiwanis Lake back to its glory. With contributions through Rotary Club’s Give Local York, strategic guidance from our Preserve Planet Earth Committee and partnering with the City of York and local businesses, Kiwanis Lake will again be a cherished destination for all York County.
