PROGRAM:
Sully Pinos serves as the Director of Business Solutions & Innovation for the York County Economic Alliance. She is a native of Brooklyn but found her way to York County, where she has made her home for nearly ten years (or one-third of her life). In her role with the YCEA, Sully oversees a variety of business outreach and engagement. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, she has been on the front lines by supporting the deployment of over $20 million in small business support, allocated by the Pennsylvania or York County governments, to aid over 1,800 small businesses in YoCo. Sully will continue this small business support by leading the YCEA's new Bloom Empowerment Center. York County's Economic Action Plan showed that York County lags the state and national average in the birth rate of new small businesses. Enter the Bloom Empowerment Center, a new initiative of the York County Economic Alliance (YCEA), supported by various stakeholder and community partners, that boasts a suite of small business support services to launch, grow, and propel small businesses forward in York County. BLOOM will do this by providing greater support to capital for small business grants and loans, education, and opportunity. The BLOOM Empowerment Center will provide resources countywide, with a targeted and strategic focus to grow small businesses, and businesses owned by women and individuals of color in our small communities across YoCo.
