Weekly club meeting - Hybrid format will continue
The York County Hispanic Coalition, a not-for-profit organization established in 1988, will be presented by Madeline Torres Ocasio. She will discuss the York County population, and the organization's goals and possibilities of supporting the York County Hispanic Community. Madeline has worked for the school district
of the City of York since 2000, settling at the William Penn Senior High School. There, she works with the English as a Second Language department managing the EL Resource Center, a center where she teaches students who need one-on-one accommodations to succeed in school. Madeline believes that education can change lives, opening doors to new opportunities, and the York County Hispanic Coalition provides a
possibility to York County High School Seniors of Hispanic heritage. The not-for-profit organization awards scholarships of various denominations to students interested in obtaining a post-secondary education.
