The Goodridge Freedom Center and Underground Railroad Museum - 123 East Philadelphia Street, York.

5pm Meeting to include a tour of the facility, a discussion of William Goodridge and the home. Wine and cheese will be served.

William Goodridge was a freed slave and one of the most successful businessmen in York in the mid 1800s. He was also instrumental in helping freedom seekers travel through Central Pennsylvania and get to Philadelphia. His home was used as part of the Underground Railroad and now The Goodridge Freedom Center at 123 East Philadelphia Street is being restored to serve as a museum and preserve this incredible history.
