For over 70 years, Memorial Hospital has provided quality health care to the York community. With the health care needs of our community continuing to increase, a new replacement facility is necessary to provide care to residents now and for future generations. After extensive market studies, traffic studies, zoning requirements, space reviews and other considerations, the former Hawk Lake Golf Course site, located at 1605 Loucks Road in York, was selected to build Memorial's replacement hospital, UPMC Pinnacle Memorial. The replacement facility will feature 126 beds in a modern five-level design where all patients will be able to heal comfortably in private rooms. The 220,000-square-foot facility will provide acute and emergency medical care, cardiology and vascular services, chronic disease management, surgical services, a Level II Specialty Care Nursery, and treatment for patients in need of long-term acute care. Next to the hospital building, 75,000 square feet, three-story medical office building with ambulatory surgery, a women's imaging suite, sleep lab, infusion center, and cardiac rehab program will be built. The replacement facility is anticipated to be complete in August 2019. Our speakers today will be Michael Gaskins and Sally Dixon. Michael Gaskins joined the Hanover Hospital leadership team in 2011 and was appointed to his current role in early 2018 as Sr. Vice President, UPMC Pinnacle and President, Southern Division, which includes extensive responsibilities at both Hanover and Memorial Hospital locations. Sally J. Dixon joined Memorial in 1981 as the Vice President of Finance and was named president and CEO of the hospital and health system in 1995, where for over 20 years she guided Memorial through a changing health care landscape and multiple affiliations that strengthened the quality of care and services available in the York community.
