Sully Pinos, Executive Director of YCEA’s BLOOM Business Empowerment Center (BLOOM),presents a recap of its work over these three years, as well as insights and what is ahead for BLOOM as it works toward becoming a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), further expanding its ability to deploy capital and resources to businesses and entrepreneurs across the area.
Since its launch in February of 2022, BLOOM has impacted over 900 businesses, emerging as a key initiative of the York County 10-Year Economic Action Plan. With a mission to provide access to capital, education, and opportunities for entrepreneurs and small businesses—both new and existing—BLOOM has launched a range of educational programs, micro-grants, and lending initiatives to support businesses of all sizes.
