Join the Weary Family and Members of Weary Arts Group for song, poetry, and seasonal cheer at this year's Virtual Holiday Program.  Rotarian Cal Weary will be your host for the fun and heart felt Holiday Special. Sing, clap and dance along with us as they perform classic pieces full of hope and love for the new year.

The LITERACY COMMITTEE is seeking local organizations to partner with for a March 2021 Book Drive. Applicants must serve York County children. Rotarians will provide funds to purchase new books for children in our community! If your organization is interested in submitting a nomination application, please complete a brief application before the 1/15/2021 DEADLINE at https://forms.gle/v4D67aU3bgq6acTD7 explaining why your clients/families could benefit from new books.  One organization will be selected for this year’s drive.  Application information is also available on www.yorkrotary.org under Resources tab, then to Forms and Documents.  Please contact committee chair Deb Harrison at dharrison@yorkcac.org with any questions.
 
ZOOM MEETING TIPS!
  • You must be registered to attend the weekly meeting.  After registering, you will receive an email confirmation.  If you do not receive an email confirmation, you are not registered.  The zoom link is available in the weekly The Announcer, on the website www.yorkrotary.org (home page, under "Happenings in York PA" and on the RCY calendar), on the club's Facebook page, and in the Tuesday "Rotary Reminders" email.
  • Everyone is MUTED when entering the zoom meeting. Please UNMUTE yourself to socialize beginning at 11:30am!   
  • Everyone will be automatically MUTED when President Anne begins the meeting at Noon.    
  • Gallery View vs Full Screen?  When meeting starts, use “swap shared screen with video” to make speaker full screen and the PowerPoint small or vice versa” or however the viewer prefers.  Zoom will move screens around and resize them automatically, BUT all attendees are able to use their mouse to click and drag windows to enhance your viewing experience. Learn more about this viewing feature here https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362323-Changing-the-video-layout-Active-Speaker-View-and-Gallery-View-

January 10, 2021 - Application Deadline for Rotary Global Grants Scholarships for 2020-21. This is for the FIRST year of graduate study ABROAD in one of Rotary's SIX areas of Focus.  Candidates must live in or attend college in Rotary District 7390. For more information, contact PDG Ben Hoover bahii@comcast.net.  It has been many years since the Rotary Club of York has sponsored a Global Scholarship recipient……so please spread the word of this opportunity!
