YOUTH EXCHANGE COMMITTEE SEEKS HOST FAMILIES
The Rotary Club of York is looking for host families for two exchange students. One is a girl from France who will attend York Suburban High School, so we need families who reside in the York Suburban School District.  The other student is a boy from Belgium who will attend Dallastown Area High School, and we need host families who live in the Dallastown School District. We can accept families of any age, with or without children, and children of any age if there are children. The exchange student can have his or her own bedroom or share a room with another child of the same sex.

The families will welcome the exchange student for about 100 days. Rotary places students with three host families so none need to host for a full year. Families can choose to host from mid-August to the first weekend in December; the first weekend in December to the first weekend in March, or the first weekend in March to the second week of June. Most months, the student will be away at a Rotary event for one weekend, so families will get a short break each month. Families provide the student with food including lunch at school (either pack a lunch or buy at school) and include the student in all family activities and pay for the student's participation in family activities. The student will pay his or her own expenses for her or his activities, school activities and events, cell phone, insurance, and other costs of the exchange.

Please share this information with any family or friends who live in either York Suburban or Dallastown school districts if you know of anyone you think would be a good host family. If you are interested in hosting a student and want more information, please contact Walt Tilley at wat@stockandleader.com.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO HELP KIDS LEARN HOW TO FISH

If you are interested in being a volunteer for one or all three of these sessions, please contact Ashlee Etzweiler at etzweilerfh@outlook.com.
