We will hear from U.S. Representative Lloyd Smucker. He will provide an update on current events in Washington, D.C. and how federal policy decisions are impacting York County. He will also review recent legislative developments and outline his priorities in Congress. Congressman Smucker will discuss the issues he is working on and how they align with the needs of Pennsylvania's 11th Congressional District.

REGISTER TODAY FOR JULY 23RD MEETING AT THE YORK STATE FAIR
We will hold our July 23rd club meeting at the York State Fair. Enjoy a meal of fair favorites including sausage, hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn, fudge, water, and soft drinks followed by a program from Rotarian Patrick Ball on the history of the York Fair; a glimpse at what’s happening at this year’s fair; and a look to future plans. Your attendance includes admission to the fair after the meeting! An optional guided walking tour of the fair will be available at 10:00am, prior to our club meeting. Guests are welcome. SAVE THE DATE: SEPTEMBER 8TH LOVE FOR COMMUNITY
The Rotary Club of York’s ONLY annual fundraiser, Love For Community, will be held at the Country Club of York on September 8th. There’s something for everyone! Choose to play golf, tennis, pickle ball, croquet or corn hole. If you’re not feeling “sporty” you can still participate by attending the dinner and auction. MEET THE NEW MEMBER: MELANIE WIESMAN
Melanie Wiesman is a criminal defense attorney practicing in York County. Prior to starting her own firm, she was on the Executive Staff of the York County District Attorney's Office, where she served as the Chief Deputy of Special Prosecutions, handling all suspicious deaths, homicides, homicides by vehicle, and overdose deaths in York County. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia and went on to receive her JD from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She is a Member of the Pennsylvania Bar, as well as the State Bars of Texas and Florida. She is a member of the York County and American Bar Associations and the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. When not spending time with her husband Chris and their children Kennedy (5) and Grant (3), she enjoys tennis and paddle tennis.
