YOUTH LITERACY COMMITTEE SEEKS VOLUNTEERS FOR ROTARY READS EVENT - SEPTEMBER 30
We need your help to share an inspiring message about creativity with about 750 pre-kindergarten and early learning center students in York city!
Volunteers are needed from 9:30-11:30 am on Tuesday, September 30th to read a copy of "Arlo Draws an Octopus" to pre-kindergarten students at schools across York city and the surrounding area. The Youth Literacy Committee is organizing a city-wide volunteer opportunity for Rotarians to distribute copies of the book to several classrooms and schools in York. The project also provides us with an opportunity to promote our mission of improving literacy in our community, which is the keystone for success in life and leads to better job opportunities and personal achievement. This will be one of our Club's largest and most impactful service projects – and one you will not want to miss. Not sure what to expect in the classroom? Prior to the reading day, there will be some tips and information that will help prepare you for a great experience!
THERE'S STILL TIME TO REGISTER FOR LOVE FOR COMMUNITY - SEPTEMBER 8
We are just a month away from the exciting LOVE FOR COMMUNITY event happening on Monday, September 8th at The Country Club of York! This is a fantastic opportunity for you to connect with fellow Rotarians and friends, all while supporting meaningful community projects. The event promises a lively atmosphere filled with fun activities, delicious food, and the chance to make a real difference.
