THANKS TO Volunteers from the Rotary Club of York's Preserve Planet Earth (PPE) Committee, who worked together with staff from York City, to remove large debris from Kiwanis Lake. They “caught” two bikes, a couple tires, 1 1/2 actual fishing rods and a couple concrete trash containers (one with trash). This happened at an opportune time as the level of the lake has been lowered while repairs are done to the floodgate and new fountains installed. This fulfills Rotary's mission to improve water quality and has a high impact on wildlife and residents. The beauty of the lake continues to improve each day thanks to the volunteers we had for this event.  PPE Chair, Aaron Jacobs, will give a more detailed update on the Kiwanis Lake Project at a club meeting in December.
