BRING A GUEST WHO BECOMES A MEMBER AND YOU COULD WIN $100 RESTAURANT GIFT CERTIFICATE
An engaged and growing membership is the key to the mission and success of our Club. Join the Membership Recruitment Committee and your fellow Rotarians as we seek to increase our impact, expand our reach, and enhance our engagement with the York community. For those who bring guests to our Club meetings over the next six months and who then become members, your name will be entered into a drawing in December for one of three $100 gift certificates to the restaurant of your choosing in downtown York. The more guests you bring to a Club meeting who ultimately become members, the more times your name will be entered into the drawing. Join us in being champions and ambassadors for Rotary!

REGISTER TODAY FOR SEPTEMBER 8TH LOVE FOR COMMUNITY
The Rotary Club of York’s ONLY annual fundraiser, Love For Community, will be held at the Country Club of York on September 8th. There’s something for everyone! Choose to play golf, tennis, pickle ball, croquet or cornhole. If you’re not feeling “sporty” you can still participate by attending the dinner and auction. REGISTER HERE!
Cornhole is one of the most popular outdoor games in the United States. Legend has it that a fourteenth-century cabinet maker by the name of Matthias Kuepermann created the game after watching children toss rocks into a nearby groundhog’s hole. He decided to utilize his carpentry skills to design a safer game for them to play, and determined a bag of corn was much safer to throw than a stone. The rest, as they say, is history. This game only continues to grow in popularity because of its portability, easy-to-understand rules, and…let’s be honest, you don’t have to be a star athlete to play a good game of cornhole!
