PROGRAM:
Our in person speaker will be Michael Newsome, Governor Tom Wolf’s Secretary of the Office of Administration. Newsome, a former executive for the Wolf Organization, York Daily Record and Armstrong World Industries, will discuss how his experience as a business person, private citizen and taxpayer have influenced his approach to public service, as well as key initiatives being undertaken by his department to make interacting with government less like…well… interacting with government! As a member of the Governor’s senior staff and cabinet, Newsome leads the agency responsible for oversight and administration of the enterprise functions of human resources, information technology, equal employment opportunity, continuity of government and records management for nearly 80,000 employees. Newsome has served in past and present roles on the boards of the York County Community Foundation, Memorial Health Systems Foundation, Crispus Attucks Charter School, York County Industrial Development Authority and York County Heritage Trust, among other organizations.

Please note the new REDUCED capacity from Governor Wolf - A MAXIMUM of 28 members can be accommodated in the ballroom set with 7 round tables of 4 with open seating. Everyone is required to wear MASKS at all times unless seated in the ballroom, actively eating.
PLEASE RESERVE YOUR SEAT ASAP. THE SYSTEM WILL ONLY BE OPEN TO MAKE RESERVATIONS UNTIL MONDAY, 11/30 AT 3PM. If you are interested in attending but there is no availability, please register under the "WAIT LIST".
If you need to cancel your reservation, please do so online, but communicate to the Rotary Office so members on the wait list can be contacted immediately to attend.
Please note - All RCY members with confirmed lunch reservations will be invoiced $18 for lunch. If you CANCEL after 4pm on Friday, 11/27, you will be invoiced for lunch, unless your seat is filled by another member from the “wait list”.
LUNCH MENU: Mixed Greens Salad (pre-set), Chicken Alfredo with Broccoli, Roll with Butter, Chef's Choice Dessert (pre-set, alternating choices on table), and Coffee or Iced Tea.
If you are attending live and require a *SPECIAL MEAL, contact the Rotary office (officeassist@yorkrotary.org) no later than 3pm on Monday, 11/30/2020 to order your food. No exceptions.
EXCITING VIRTUAL MEETING NEWS! In order to better accommodate the club’s needs, we will be switching our virtual and hybrid meetings to the ZOOM platform beginning Wednesday, December 2nd.
-Zoom will offer an enhanced viewing experience for everyone and virtual attendees will be able to "see" each other just like in-person registrants are able to do at the Country Club.
-NEW FEATURE: if you are joining meetings VIRTUALLY, you will be able to sign on at 11:30AM and socialize/network with other virtual attendees for a half an hour BEFORE the meeting begins. Everyone's mic will be muted at 12PM when the meeting begins.
-Members will still need to REGISTER in order to attend the virtual meeting using the above zoom link.
The VIRTUAL registration information and link are also posted on www.yorkrotary.org (home page, under "Happenings in York PA" and on the RCY calendar) and on the Facebook page. Please share with interested family and friends. You can join from a computer, laptop or mobile device.
MEETING UPDATE:
"GUESTS" are welcome to attend RCY lunch meetings in-person at the Country Club of York!
Based on the current capacity, reservations for ALL (members and guests) will be on a first come, first served basis. Members will continue to make their own reservations using the ClubRunner registration link.
Members must email Renea officeassist@yorkrotary.org to make reservations for their "guests" prior to the 3pm Monday deadline (include any special meal requests). Guests must provide their cell phone number and email address.
Members will be invoiced $ 18 for their guest's lunch.
Reserved seats may be requested to be certain member and guest are seated at the same lunch table.

The RCY Board of Directors approved the NEW MEMBER application of Marcia Meehan (Relationships Director; Servants, Inc. and former RCY member) proposed by Larry Richardson for membership. If no objections are received, she will be inducted into the club on December 9.
