PROGRAM: 
Mayor Michael Helfrich will be joining the Rotary Club of York to share more information on the progress
that is being made in York City, and the potential pitfalls and hurdles we may face as our city experiences
a surge in the back-to-the-city movement. He will address the city's finances, safety, social issues, and economic development strategies. This being the first public address of his second term, he will also share what he hopes to accomplish during the next four years.
 
TIME - In Person at CCY

Lunch Reservations are NOT required.  GUESTS are welcome.  Please pre-register any "guests" with the
office before Tuesday afternoon.  The guest lunch fee is $18.00 which will be invoiced to your Rotary
account.

MARCH TO 300!
Please help us in our March to 300! Membership campaign. With just one week left to go, we are asking
our members to continue to bring potential members as guests to our club meetings with the goal of
achieving 300 Club members. This is part of the Presidential “Each One, Bring One” Campaign that
encourages each Rotarian to reach out to three prospective members in hopes of building our network of Rotarians. Who are you inviting? Register your guest(s) with Becky!
                               
 
SUPPORT OUR BCHALLENGE
The Literacy and Lend a Hand Committees and have come together to create the B3 Challenge (Books, Blankets and Bucks) and are asking for your support. During the month of March, your donations will
help to purchase books and blankets to be distributed and sent home to children in the York community.
Stop by the Literacy Table at the weekly Rotary meeting to make your donation or pledge. Donations can

REGISTRATION NOW OPEN FOR OFF-SITE YORK REVOLUTION MEETING
The Rotary Club of York will hold its weekly meeting on Wednesday, April 20 at the York Revolution
Stadium. All members and guests are required to pre-register with the office.
 
 
SUPPORT FOR UKRAINE RELIEF
Due to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, our CEF Board has approved a matching Disaster/
Emergency Relief grant for up to $5,000. Donations from Club members will be matched dollar for dollar. 
If you wish to contribute to this relief effort, please visit our website and make a donation
Indicate that your donation is for Ukraine in the comments field. Alternatively, you may send a
check to the office.
 
 
LITTLE LEAGUE COMMITTEE TO CLEAN UP FIELD MARCH 30
The Little League Committee is planning to meet on Wednesday, March 30 at 5:00pm to clean up Allen Field
in preparation for opening day. Any interested volunteers are invited to join them as they rake leaves and
litter and clean up the batting cages.
 
 
FELLOWSHIP COMMITTEE TO HOST UPCOMING EVENTS 
Join the Fellowship Committee for these upcoming events:
 
Saturday, April 2: Family Fun Night and Open House at Tidings of Peace Christian School from 3:00pm-9:00pm.
Friday, April 8: Networking luncheon at Hollywood Casino (Galleria Mall) from 12:00pm-1:00pm. Lunch
and tour of the facility included.

PPE COMMITTEE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS APRIL 9
PPE will be planting 23 trees in York City on Saturday, April 9. Those interested in volunteering will meet
at 8:00am in the parking lot of the corner of E. Philadelphia and Broad Street. Volunteers should bring
gloves, shovels or any other tool that would be helpful to plant trees. Please email
Al Sykes asykes@gmail.com to sign up as a volunteer.
 
 
MEET THE NEW MEMBER - CHRISTOPHER "CJ" GROSS
Member pictureCJ is the Founder/CEO of Ascension Worldwide, a full-service minority owned consulting firm committed to helping clients achieve workplace inclusion, employee and client diversity, and innovative growth opportunities. He obtained his BA in Organizational Management from Ashford University and his MA in Strategic Leadership from St. Bonaventure University. CJ is a Career Coach and Workshop Facilitator at Messiah Community Church. He previously served as a Career Trainer at Maryland Correctional Enterprises and was a Board member for Housing Options and Planning Enterprises from 2008-2018. CJ enjoys cycling, golfing, playing pool, motocross, and traveling. He and his wife, Kerryann, live in Shrewsbury.
