Come hear from one of York County's Most Influential People for 2022 as he speaks on the amazing Advantages his nonprofit is offering now and the plans they have for the future. Through vertical integration of his three businesses, Tavon Parker has bright plans for each young man that is mentored through his nonprofit. Among a plethora of other things, youth are able to grow in personal development and begin their employment experience in the workforce through their connections to Tavon and his business endeavors. The Advantage Program is truly a program like no other.

SCOUTING FOR NEW PLAYERS
Thanks to each of you who have brought guests to club meetings in June and July. Please continue to round up some free agents to help build our team for our remaining meetings in July. Remember, each time you bring a guest to a meeting, you will be entered into a drawing for a pair of tickets to your choice of a Philadelphia Eagles home game, Baltimore Ravens home game, or a Penn State home game. Tickets have been generously donated by FOX43.
GREEN BAGS AVAILABLE FOR PICK-UP
The Rotary Club of York did such a great job of collecting plastics last time, that we're doing it again! Green Bags will be placed on the mail table at upcoming meetings. Please take one (or more) and continue collecting your household plastics. Collection of the bags will take place in August with more details to follow.
LOVE FOR COMMUNITY: MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 12TH
NEW ON-LINE REGISTRATION is now open for teams and sponsorships for LOVE FORE COMMUNITY, the annual charitable fundraising event held by The Rotary Club of York on September 12th. This year’s event will be held at The Country Club of York and offers opportunities to play golf, tennis, croquet and NEW for this year, cornhole. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO HELP KIDS LEARN HOW TO FISH
The Educational/Vocational Guidance Committee is looking to
teach kids from York City how to fish and we need your help to make it a
success. Three free sessions will take place at Kiwanis Lake on July 23, August 6 and August 13 from 8:30am-11:00am.

MEET THE NEW MEMBER: MELISSA ROSARIO
Melissa is a Business Development Associate at Business Information Group and Owner of Cornerstone Barbershop. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from York College of Pennsylvania. Melissa is actively involved in the York community and volunteers as the Merchant Coordinator for the WeCo District in York City. In this role, she is responsible for organizing local businesses and non-profit organizations to host events and perform community service. She has also hosted Cornerstone Cleanup, a monthly trash pick-up effort in York City and has raised money for several York County non-profits. Melissa is a new member of the Project Committee for the Redevelopment Authority of York. In her free time, she enjoys portrait painting, reading, bike riding, and film photography. Melissa lives in York with her husband, Jason, and their two children.
