PROGRAM-
We will hold our weekly club meeting off-site at Penn State-York on Wednesday, February 1st.  Fellow Rotarian and Penn State York’s Chancellor, Dave Christiansen, will lead a team of colleagues and students to showcase three of Penn State-York’s programs that meet the definition of transformative, and are linked by an important common thread – leadership development.    Learn more about the Graham Fellows Program, the FBLA Team, and the Center for Inclusive Leadership. 
 
Lunch will be served in the Conference Center in the Main Classroom building and the program will take place in Polli Hall in the Graham Center - adjacent buildings with just a short walk from one building to the next.  
 
Registration to attend this off-site meeting is now closed. An email with directions and parking information will be sent to all registered attendees prior to the meeting.
 
We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the Country Club of York on
Wednesday, February 8th.

11:30am  Arrival and fellowship, Lunch in the Conference Center
12:15pm  Pres Glenn will begin meeting in the Graham Center

The Club extends our condolences to Amy Anstine on the recent death of her mother, Jean Gohn.  We also express our sympathy to Jenni Goodling on the recent passing of her brother, Todd Goodling.  The Club also offers our condolences to Ben Hoover on the news of the death of his brother, Bob Hoover.

SUPPORT NEEDED FOR GLOBAL PROJECT TO BUILD BATHROOMS 
 IN SENDAFA, ETHIOPIA
Be part of bringing better health and sanitation to the people of Sendafa, Ethiopia by building 16 toilets.  This is our club’s first Global Project in at least three years!  The Global Projects Committee is undertaking a project to improve sanitation and the environment in Sendafa, Ethiopia by building 16 toilets serving 6,000+ people.  The Global Projects Committee is raising $70,000 to build toilets in partnership with the Rotary Club of Central Mela, Addis Ababa.  Their goal is to raise at least $6,000 from our members.  They have funding partners who will match your gift dollar for dollar up to $6,000.  We will also appeal to fellow clubs in our district and then will request matching funding from District 7390 and the Rotary Foundation. 
 
100% of Global Projects Committee members have pledged gifts to the project!  These fellow members of the Rotary Club of York invite YOU to join them in supporting this worthy project.  Your gift is needed!  Every dollar you donate GENERATES $2.80 for the project! Here’s how:
 
$1 for $1 match from Rotarians up to $6,000
$1 for $1 match from District 7390
$.80 for $1 match from Rotary Foundation (Thanks to your donations to the Rotary Foundation!)
 
How to donate:
1.    Go to our website (yorkrotary.org) and click “Charitable Donations” link, select “Other Fund” and place Sendafa in comments section. OR

On Thursday, February 2nd, President Glenn Miller will be celebrity bartending at Aviano's Corner Trattoria, located on 101 S. Duke Street, York. Join President Glenn from 6:00pm-8:00pm as he looks to donate all tips to a good cause. Aviano's will also graciously donate half of each signature drink.

MEET THE NEW MEMBER- JENNI GOODLING
 
Jenni is a Realtor for Coldwell Banker. She earned a BA in Anthropology/Sociology from Rollins College and an MBA from York College. She also attended High Point University and Greensboro College for pre-med studies and PA College of Technology's Physician Assistant program. Jenni is the Director of the Goodling Teacher Scholarship, a role that allows her to raise money for local students in York, Adams, and Cumberland counties who wish to pursue a career in education. She created this scholarship to honor her parents who sought to make the world a better place through public service. Jenni lives in York with her husband, Christian.
