PROGRAM:
State of Child Care in York County- It is often said that early childcare teachers are the "workforce behind the workforce." The PA Early Learning Investment Commission (ELIC) is a partnership of business leaders dedicated to making the success of every child in PA a top priority. Community Connections for Children (CCC) is an Early Learning Resource Center, based in York County, that ensures families have access to high quality, affordable childcare. Christy Renjilian, CCC Executive Director, along with ELIC Emeritus Commissioners Pete Brubaker and Tony Campisi, will provide a brief update on the state of childcare in York County, and the early success of an innovative grant program to support early childcare teacher retention. This grant program was made possible with philanthropic, corporate, and county government support.
