Weekly Lunch Meeting is cancelled!
3/16/2020
Rotarians
It appears that it will be several weeks or perhaps a few months until things return to normal. As the situation with COVID-19 continues to evolve, please know that it’s our strong desire to conduct business as usual. However, that will not be possible in the short term. As you might know, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control has recommended against gatherings with 50 or more people, professional and personal schedules have been disrupted for many reasons, and the Country Club of York is only serving take-out meals. With this in mind, our club’s leadership team has decided to cancel both the 3/18 and 3/25 regular club meetings. Additional cancellations are likely but we will make those decisions as the days and weeks unfold.
We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing everyone as circumstances permit.
On a positive note, Bert has returned from her trip to France and is safe at home!

Fellow Rotarians:
Club leadership has been discussing how to appropriately protect our members’ health while maintaining our weekly meetings and regular club activities. Unfortunately, the landscape changes daily as medical professionals continue to learn more about this virus, how it is spreading, and its impact on individuals from all walks of life.
With an abundance of caution, we have decided to cancel next Wednesday’s regular Rotary Club of York meeting. We will continue to monitor the situation and make a weekly decision about when to resume our normal meetings. This decision will be impacted by any new information, Country Club of York policy, and mandates from state and federal officials.
Because of the small group nature of many of our committees, I ask that each committee chair work with their committee members to decide whether to meet in person, via conference call, or postpone meetings. Additionally, please use your own best judgement in deciding to attend any Rotary meeting or event. If you don’t feel comfortable, please stay home. The safety of our members is essential so that we may join together when this crisis passes and continue the good work of the Rotary Club of York.
