Weekly Club Meeting to be held at CCY and on Zoom.
Economist Geoffrey Okamoto, a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, based in New York City, will provide an informal update on current global economic conditions, touching on risks from rising interest rates, how disorderly debt resolution in emerging markets could affect American exports, and other issues important to businesses in central Pennsylvania. Prior to Goldman, Geoffrey served as the most senior American official at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and he has substantial experience working in both the executive and legislative branches of the U.S. government, including in the White House, senior positions in the U.S. Treasury, and as a senior staff member on the Senate Banking Committee for former Senator Pat Toomey.
